We have 4 Mat Classes: The Signature Club, The Stretch Club, The Strong Club, The Sweat Club and The Mother Club.
We have 2 Barre Classes: The Balanced Barre Club, The Burn Barre Club.
-
Our Signature Club is the perfect mat class for all first timers, guiding you through the basics, familiarising you with correct alignment, breathwork and core connection as well as movement patterns. We recommend a minimum of between 6-8 sessions before considering progression into the next level, although this depends entirely on the individual and should be guided by the instructor.
Our Balanced Barre Club is the entry level Barre class for Improvers who have already attended The Signature Club and can demonstrate the principles of Pilates.
-
We want our clients to feel comfortable during a class and recommend that you wear form-fitting activewear that enables agile movement.
Clients who are attending a Sweat Club or Stretch Club Class, please bear in mind the heated conditions, your attire should reflect this. Please also bring a hand towel (if you forgot your towel, we sell Pilates Club towels at the studio).
Grip socks are compulsory in the studio (no bare feet due to hygiene reasons), and you will not be able to work out without them. Grip socks are for sale at the studio should you forget yours.
Jewellery is worn at your own risk. We advise big pieces are removed prior to your visit for comfort and safety.
Please tie long hair back.
-
Shoes are not to be worn in the lounge and studio, please remove them upon entry and leave them in the designated cubby spaces in The Locker Room.
-
It is important that you stay hydrated throughout your session, so ensure you bring your water bottle with you.
Do not forget your grip socks.
If you are attending The Sweat Club, please bring a hand towel with you. Should you forget yours, we have some available to buy.
-
Please arrive no later than 5 minutes before your session start time. This will give you adequate time to put your belongings away and be ready for the beginning of the class without disturbing your fellow clients.
Please remove shoes upon arrival and place them in the cubby holes or lockers provided.
We recommend hanging any coats or heavier items up and locking any valuables away in one of the lockers provided. Please do not bring bags or any big items into the studio.
Ensure your phone is switched to silent upon arrival.
Please wait in the Lounge area, the instructor will let you into the studio space once they are ready.
If it is your first visit to The Pilates Club, please allow a little extra time to complete a PAR-Q form and have a quick chat with the instructor.
-
To protect everyone’s safety and peace, we close the door and stop entry to class at the time the session is due to start. If you are more than 5 minutes late unfortunately you won’t be allowed to join the session. This is to reduce disruption, allow clients to warm up properly and fully enjoy the session safely.
If you are registered as too late to join, this would be marked as a no-show and you would lose your class credit.
-
There is free parking both at the front and back of the studio, this is on a first come first served basis. Please be mindful of our neighbours who have designated spaces, do not park on the yellow grids or directly outside the entrance to M Jackson & Son. Parking is at your own risk.
-
We operate a strict 24-hour cancellation policy. If you cancel outside of this window, you will lose your class credit. Please cancel directly through our booking system, by email or text, not through social media.
Repeated cancellations or no shows may result in booking access being restricted.
-
If you are feeling unwell, we ask that you do not attend and cancel your booking, particularly if you have something highly contagious like Covid.
-
Every class has a waitlist, which opens when the class is at capacity, they hold up to 4 people.
You can join as many waitlists as you want, but only 1 entry per class.
If it is your first visit, you will need to buy a class credit to join a waitlist. Returning clients will also need a credit available to accept a place from a waitlist position.
If a space opens, you will be notified by text, up to 30 minutes before the session starts. You will have 15 minutes to either accept or decline the place before it is offered to the next person in line.
You will not be able to accept a place without a class credit, if you reply “1” to join without one, you will receive a message saying,
“Your attempt to book a spot wasn’t successful” and to contact the host.
If you miss the 15 minute window, or receive the above message, it does not necessarily mean the spot has been taken by someone else. If you have a credit available, you can cancel your place on the waitlist then go back online and if the space is still free you will be able to book in. Alternatively, contact The Pilates Club directly and we will look to book you in.
If you decline a place offered, the credit goes back onto your profile. We do not offer refunds on credits purchased.
If you join a waitlist then change your mind ahead of the class, we do ask that you cancel your place on there to enable someone else to join.
-
You must notify your instructor of any injuries before the class begins. As our instructors are not clinically trained, if you are coming back from a serious injury, operation, have an ongoing heath condition, or are undergoing treatment, you will need a clinical sign off before being able to attend.
-
We offer The Mother Club a specialist class for both pregnant and postpartum members. They may also attend The Signature Club and The Balanced Barre Club (excluding The Stretch Club, The Sweat Club and The Burn Barre Club).
